THERE’S nothing quite like sitting down for a long, languid meal with friends or family. It’s one of life’s greatest pleasures. But we don’t believe good food has to be an occasion, which is why we’re pleased to announce the opening of our brand new venue at Manchester Arndale Market: inspired by the vibrant street culture of Spain.
If you’re after a more leisurely dining experience, our restaurant fits the bill. But now we also have you covered when you’re after a quick snack that’ll fill you up on the go.
Chef Alberto Ruiz Murillo comes with a wealth of experience - not least working under David Muñoz, owner of three Michelin stars, at his renowned StreetXO restaurant in Madrid - and will be overseen by La Bandera Head Chefs Ruben de Villar Garcia and Juan Burgos Canton.
Our philosophy? That, while the surroundings may be casual, you’ll find exactly the same high standards and attention to detail as at our restaurant.
Expect a focus on tapas and pinchos - small plates you can take away or enjoy in our shared seating area - from Iberian pulled pork on paprika bread to fried squid with lemon alioli in a squid ink black brioche bun and braised pork cheeks slow-cooked in sherry sauce. With all food freshly made onsite, the menu will change daily so you never know what you’ll find from visit to visit.
Of course, informal or otherwise, we couldn’t sacrifice a snifter. Red and white rioja, plus beer, are available if you’re partial to a little accompaniment with your food; alongside soft drinks for when it’s too early in the day...
Situated in Arndale Market’s South Side, a growing new food destination, we’re open 9am-6pm Monday to Sunday; serving up the best Spanish street food this side of Madrid.
